Happy Scouter!
I have been using this app for about two years and have found great eats for less around town. Its an especially useful app if you eat out a lot, want to try a new eatery w/guests or by yourself, want to minimize risk on trying a new place or want to support small businesses. The downside is they dont have a lock on major markets like Chicago or Los Angeles --just Atlanta. Perhaps theyll scout more deals in all major cities soon.
Ive not used this app for retail shopping primarily b/c Im a loyalty shopper. Otherwise, their restaurant recommendations are pretty good! I saw a complaint about spam-like emails, but Im certain its because the user has not adjusted their communications settings. I only receive email reminders when deals to places in my "stash" are about to expire.
My sole complaint is that it took more than four months to eliminate duplicate neighborhood listings. This after I brought the error to the attention of two different staffers on two different occasions. So, if you have a suggestion or major complaint, dont expect a speedy response or resolution.
